Who we are
The Mackay Historical Society is the region's longest established local history group formed on August 10, 1972.
We are passionate about recording, archiving, preserving and sharing the history of Mackay and the surrounding district.
New members are always welcome to join the society. Monthly meetings are held on the first Saturday of each month from March to November, from 2pm at the Mackay Museum.
